Features
- Produces a finish with minimal changes to the natural timber substrate; no “milkiness”
- Both base and top coats are water-borne and environmentally friendly, with low VOC’s and no red list chemicals
- The FireZone™ top coat is manufactured locally in NZ
- Can be applied over stained or varnished substrates using FZ Adhesion Primer
- Tested to NZ Standards on structural CLT and thermally modified timbers
- Sprayed on-site or off-site, no special heating equipment required; able to be brushed or rolled

FireZone™ 92 achieves Group 1S – the strictest rating, and therefore also automatically achieves Group 2, 2S and 1 on most timber substrates 9 mm and over (in dry interior areas). FireZone™ 92 must be applied by Approved Applicators to ensure code compliance, and can be spray, roll or brush applied on-site or pre-applied off-site.
It can also be applied over some stained or varnished substrates with the use of FireZone™ 92 Adhesion Primer. And it delivers the best finish of any clear intumescent coating on the market.
